Welcome to Prosper
A peaceful and vibrant town with a big heart and beautiful planned communities.
The small town of Prosper, Texas sits on the northern border of Frisco, approximately 35 miles from the Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport. Prosper is one of Texas's fastest-growing suburban communities, offering residents fantastic upscale planned communities, a vibrant and active lifestyle, and excellent schools. Most of the houses in Prosper were built after the mid-1990s, and many communities feature new construction. Residential lots in Prosper's developments are typically larger than those found in the residential neighborhoods of the Dallas metropolitan area. The town's homes have great charm and character with architectural styles that include Texas ranch, contemporary, Mediterranean, and craftsman bungalows. To enhance the resort-like feel of the newer planned communities, recent developers, like those at Windsong Ranch, have incorporated lagoon-style water features into the communities. These lagoons create outdoor living spaces that look and feel like being at a beach in the Caribbean.
Prosper may be small compared to other suburban areas near Dallas, but the community has a big heart. The city is friendly, family-oriented, peaceful, and tight-knit. This quality, in addition to the excellent schools, makes Prosper a highly sought-after community for families. The locals in Prosper have an infectious community spirit and enjoy gathering for high school sports competitions and community events. The countryside is green and serene, and life here moves at a slower pace than in the big city. The area offers outstanding opportunities for an active lifestyle, including beautiful parks, playgrounds, and gorgeous country clubs. The town is only a short drive from nearby Lewisville Lake, an excellent place for fishing, swimming, and watersports
